Flipmode Squad

We have had a fantastic year in the mode. Lots of kills, lots of stories, new weapons, new tactics….But above all, NEW MEMBERS!!! Thanks to all the newcomers to the team, you’ve managed to bring us up to platoon strength with some good skill going around!

Well done to everyone for an outstanding performance this 2008. We have been on the winning team at every skirmish this year, brilliant!

I hope to see as many of you as possible at the Christmas Special, should be a chuckle. You should especially look forward to the hog-roast and mulled wine!!

Our last official game of the year was on 7th December and although we were all a bit lethargic, we stuck to it and prevailed once again! Well done to Baggy, demonstrating some excellent combat and tactical skills!!

Lastly, let’s look forward to a fresh new 2009 year of Airsoft. I predict this will be the year of “specialist weapons”, as people seem to be exploring new firearm options. It will be good!

That’s right, pack away those summer shirts and tinted eyewear….the cold is upon us….bring out the waterproofs and warm kit!!

Things are going well in The Mode, some new member since the summer (7 more in total). So thanks to Tramp ‘o Shay, Knighty, Spraggsy, Rubance, CScarlet, Monkeyfist & Russ.

Next game on the agenda is 7th December, likely to be the main festive gathering and last official turnout before the year is out! So let’s make it a good turn-out shall we!!

Summertime is here at last….and let’s hope it lasts!!

Prime time for us in The Mode. Lets get some good turnouts over the next few months,I’ll be making the effort myself as I haven’t been the best for attendance recently.

I’m also looking to put together the fisrt FMS montage movie.

Well - Cpt. House is currently working on his M4 Project, i’ll get some pics up soon.
L/Cpl Benny The Mule has joined the squad on a more permenant basis, often bringing some supporting buddies
C/Sgt BulletFoss has the M249 - and I love it!!!, although it needs some asthetic tweaking here & there!
Pte Shawson is the latest addition to the team, looking to aqquire an M16.
Our female photographer/mercenary is no longer with us, she was just slowing The Mode down anyway! (in more ways than one :D)

This is the summer of love - and we love getting in the shit! Hoo-Rah!!

Our current forum will soon be closing down as it is being replaced by one which is far better, in terms of software.
The new Forum is up and running, but you will need to register & re-post anything important.

I will leave the OLD forum up for a week or so, this will aloow you to copy and paste anything you need into the new forum. You will not be able to post in the OLD forum.

Another excellent skirmish once again. A whole array of weapons going out into the field this time. Alot of heated “take your hit” arguments arose during the early afternoon, well done to Donkey and our female guest for handling that one in an orderly fashion. We managed to snap 70 pics from the days events, so head over to the gallery and take a look. Young IronLynx was in control of the mighty 20rounds a second G36, that thing was incredible! The day was also the first day on our new radios, they turned out to be very useful and alot of fun. We also had another guest, Shao Yang, he proved his worth holding the bridge and slaughtering the enemy trying to come accross, armed with an M16A2, Shao could become a very valuable asset to the team!

IronLynx has aqquired the awesome G3/SG-1 House Special, an inheritence from BulletFoss. At 15yrs old he’s gonna have to get used to that manly length

BulletFoss will be in possesion of a new weapon before the next skirmish, a lovely metal CA M4-Carbine, with aimpoint & supressor. Nice!

House is going for something new in terms of clothing!! Without revealing too much, I can say it’s gonna look bonza!

Hopefully the next skirmish will be on 3rd Feb at Combat South woodland and will hopefully be the first warmup of what looks to be a good year in airsoft!!

House has developed his new M700 into something quite spectacular, so look out for the review on that one. With lot’s of upgraded parts and camo respray, this beauty looks to be one of the top weapons in the FMS arsenal!

On another note, the Forum is on the way….you just need to bear with for the time being!

What a day, excellent turnout of about 140 skirmishers! Good performances from all FMS Members. Notably Doom: for leading us behind enemy lines and allowing Myself & Ironlynx to waste 16people in the space of 10 seconds!!!! Good Skills Mark!!

Another highlight was the use of Donkey’s M249 SAW support weapon, operated by BulletFoss. What a peice of kit!!, we really shit the enemy up a few times with that bad boy. An example of such; we stopped about 7 people leaving a metal container due to the shear amount of rounds flying out of the weapon, they stayed there until the game was over.

The new site still has some way to go, but we are getting there. Dates are now being put into deployments so check those out regularly. Gallery is in place, only a test gallery at them moment as we are awaiting new content. Feel free to register!

Ooooh, it’s been a while. Hopefully all you old members will stumble accross this page and see that something is finally hapenning! Page layout is likely to change, gallery is already here (i just need to make the finishing touchers) and the forum will be back up as before!
